My name is Shannon Mary - aka DMK, or Warszawa (the "Psycho Raptor".)

I've been doing photography since I was eight, writing since I was eleven, and drawing steadily for the past five years (doodling on and off in the years before that.) This little piece of the internet is my personal showcase, to display my work without dealing with the constraints put on artists by most gallery sites (and I use the term "artist" very loosely when it applies to myself.)

Born in Manhattan circa 1981 and raised on Long Island in New York, where I reside to this day. Attended public school, graduated Class of 1999, went to college for Graphic Design - and four years into the program decided that Advertising wasn't the career for me. I left school to take up employment with the state government, and since then art has been a hobby and passion rather than a chore.

I've always been fascinated with dinosaurs, and the Velociraptor is sort of a personal totem of mine. No, I don't really believe I'm a raptor. But, if you look closely when I'm angry, sometimes you can see the claws come out.

If it wasn't obvious already, I have a somewhat morbid sense of humor. But if you got this far, I'm sure you didn't mind.
